At Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL, you’ll join a reliable, supportive crew responsible for maintaining the cemetery’s outdoor spaces and ensuring every veteran’s headstone is set with accuracy and respect.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy outdoor work, physical labor, landscaping tasks, and steady, hands-on work. You’ll work outside daily, stay active, and contribute to a mission that truly matters.

Responsibilities

  • Set, align, and level headstones using measurements, string lines, and layout instructions

  • Perform grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks such as trimming, raking, cleanup, and section preparation

  • Follow safe lifting techniques and equipment procedures

  • Work as part of a grounds crew to meet project deadlines and maintain cemetery standards

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful work environment
