Job description

Title - Cemetery Service Specialist
Duration โ€“ 3 Months
Shift โ€“ Mon to Fri (8 AM โ€“ 4:30 PM). Saturdays may be required and must be open to OT.
Location โ€“ Alcoa, TN 37701

Job Summary

  • Carry out openings and closings for burials, entombments, inurnments, and disintermentโ€™s
  • Install and assemble foundations, memorials, markers, and outer burial containers
  • Respond to and fulfill work orders from client families, including grave/marker maintenance
  • Conduct Interment Verification Procedures and prepare a 25-foot radius around burial sites, including filling, tamping, seeding, or sodding to maintain cleanliness
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and Universal Precautions
  • Maintain company equipment and facilities via preventive maintenance, ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
  • Complete mandatory training, such as through Dignity University, and uphold the Dignity Memorial Promise standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: At least six months of experience operating standard equipment
  • Licenses: Acceptable driving record and any necessary equipment/vehicle operating licenses

  • Proficiency with hand-held tools (e.g., shovels, picks, rakes, sledgehammers, lawn mowers, weed trimmers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, pumps)
