Job description

CADG Materials is hiring a Cement Transloader for our Deen Rd location in Fort Worth. This is a hands-on job for someone who likes physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a team that keeps material moving safely and on time.

This role is a good fit for someone dependable, hard-working, and ready to start early. Regular start times may be as early as 4:00 to 5:00 a.m., so being on time and ready to work is a must.

Position Summary

The Cement Transloader is responsible for unloading cement and other bulk materials from pneumatic railcars into silos and loading pneumatic trailers and other trucks for delivery. This position helps keep terminal operations running safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The right candidate takes pride in doing physical work, following safety procedures, and helping the team meet daily loading and unloading goals. This job may also include yard cleanup, light maintenance, and basic office or inventory support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload bulk cement and other materials from pneumatic railcars into silos.
  • Load pneumatic trailers and trucks from silos and railcars.
  • Operate or learn to operate railcar loading and unloading equipment, hoses, pumps, conveyors, and related tools.
  • Inspect inbound and outbound railcars before and after loading or unloading.
  • Prepare and manage load schedules for the next day.
  • Enter customer orders and railcar shipments into inventory systems accurately.
  • Verify inventory and shipment details before truck and railcar arrivals.
  • Email or process Bills of Lading and other shipment paperwork as required.
  • Assist drivers, customers, and team members with load-related needs.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized terminal.
  • Perform general facility duties such as cleanup, light maintenance, painting, and landscape upkeep.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.

Schedule and Work Environment

This is an industrial outdoor position at a busy cement and aggregate terminal. Employees should expect to work in heat, cold, rain, dust, and other changing weather conditions.

This role requires early morning starts, and the schedule may vary based on rail and truck activity. Overtime, weekend work, or extended hours may be required during busy periods.

Qualifications
