Job description

Job Description Step into a high-impact field role where your cementing expertise and mechanical skills keep critical wellsite operations running safely and efficiently. This is a contract position based out of Strasburg OH, offering a consistent 15 days on / 6 days off rotation and the opportunity to work with a dedicated, professional crew on demanding projects. About the Role: As a Cement Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and supporting cementing equipment during oilfield operations.

You will ensure safe and efficient rig up/rig down, execute cementing procedures to specification, and maintain equipment readiness in a fast-paced field environment. Your performance directly impacts job quality, operational uptime, and overall safety at the wellsite. Key Responsibilities: Operate cementing equipment and related pumping units during field jobs in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.

Perform rig up and rig down of cementing units, lines, and associated equipment at various wellsite locations. Monitor cementing operations, adjusting controls and parameters as needed to ensure proper mixing, displacement, and job execution. Conduct routine pre- and post-job inspections on trucks, pumps, and cementing equipment to identify and address issues.

Perform troubleshooting and basic mechanical repairs on cementing units and auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime. Complete required job documentation, including equipment logs, pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and operational reports. Work closely with supervisors and crew members to follow cementing programs, safety protocols, and operational instructions.

Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport cementing equipment and materials to and from job sites as required. Key Requirements: Proven experience operating cementing equipment in oilfield or similar wellsite environments. Strong working knowledge of cementing procedures, including job setup, execution, and shutdown.

Demonstrated ability to perform rig up and rig down of cementing units and associated iron. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of pumps, valves, and related mechanical systems. Ability to work a 15 days on / 6 days off rotation, including long shifts and varying weather conditions.

Strong commitment to safety, with the ability to follow and enforce site-specific and company safety practices. Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a field crew with minimal supervision. Physically able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.

Desirable Skills: Experience with both manual and automatic transmission heavy equipment. Previous work with cement mixing systems, bulk plants, or similar industrial equipment. Familiarity with digital control systems, monitoring software, and data acquisition tools used in cementing operations.

Exposure to multiple basins or operating environments within the oil and gas industry. Qualifications: Valid CDL Class A with no restrictions (manual/automatic) - required. High school diploma or GED - required.

Formal training or certification in oilfield cementing operations - preferred. Mechanical, industrial, or technical vocational training - preferred. Clean driving record meeting company and DOT requirements.
