The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in RF analysis, propagation modeling, in-building coverage design, and the integration of cellular and fixed wireless systems. This role includes assessing coverage challenges, conducting site surveys, measuring signal performance, and producing engineering solutions that enhance reliability and mission-critical communications. The selected candidate will support operations at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and must maintain an active TS/SCI clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, design, and optimize enterprise wireless connectivity solutions using cellular (4G/5G) and RF technologies.
  • Conduct predictive and on-site RF surveys, including signal strength measurements, spectrum analysis, and coverage assessments.
  • Develop RF engineering solutions to improve in-building and campus-wide cellular performance.
  • Engineer and validate Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), small cells, and other in-building wireless enhancements.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot RF interference, signal degradation, and propagation challenges.
  • Produce RF design documents, heat maps, engineering diagrams, and technical reports.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, carriers, integrators, and infrastructure teams to support deployment of cellular and RF solutions.
  • Apply expertise in LTE and 5G frequency bands, including FirstNet (Band 14), Band 12, and Next Generation Fixed Wireless Access (ngFWA).
  • Support RF safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements as applicable.
  • Participate in enterprise telecommunications planning and modernization efforts.
