Job description

Capstone Solutions is a locally owned construction telecommunications company seeking mid-level Tower Technicians for the greater Kent/Seattle area. Must be willing to travel (per diem provided) and climb cell phone towers.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, remove, configure and make repairs to telecommunications equipment in cell sites and related systems; maintain and install power equipment.
  • Climb towers, poles and other structures to install, reconfigure and repair microwave and other antenna and cable equipment.
  • Operate electronic test equipment including cable testers, fiber testers, battery testers and other RF analysis equipment.
  • Install outdoor cell site systems including cabinets, associated conduits, and ice bridges.
  • Troubleshoot and evaluate data related to microwave systems.
  • Perform power, fiber optic, cat5/cat6, waveguide and coaxial cable installations and testing.
  • Read Scope of Work (SOW) documents and delivers project outcomes to scope and as directed.
  • Assist Technician III to rack and mount fixed telecom equipment; assist Technician III in maintaining, installing, configuring, adjusting and making minor repairs to microwave systems, including towers.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to work at heights up to 500'.
  • Must be able to work outside of normal business hours (i.e., shift work), to include nights and weekends, when needed.
  • Self-starter with the desire and ability to learn and retain new knowledge.
  • Must be a team player and have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Reliability and a team mentality is a must.
  • Ability to learn and retain physical and mechanical installation specifications.
  • Ability to pass preliminary drug screening, criminal background check and driving background check.
  • Able to lift, carry, push, pull 75+ lbs.
  • Must be reliable, punctual and able to learn and retain new information.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation preferred
  • Competent Tower Climbing Certification
  • RF Safety and Awareness Certification
  • CPR/First Aid Certified
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • OSHA 10
