Job Title: Construction Materials Testing Technician

Job Overview

Join a growing team supporting critical construction projects throughout the Cary area. This role offers hands-on field experience performing materials testing and inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and building a long-term career in construction and engineering services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform field testing of construction materials including soil, concrete, and asphalt in accordance with industry standards and project requirements
  • Inspect materials on-site and accurately document results through detailed daily reports
  • Operate testing equipment and follow established procedures to ensure reliable data collection
  • Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to support testing and inspection activities
  • Work in a physically active environment, including lifting, climbing, bending, and navigating uneven terrain

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in construction materials testing or related construction field
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings and site plans
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to job sites
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
