This job is responsible for determining material specifications, creating and maintaining inventory schedules, coordinating with internal departments, and managing external stakeholder relations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Manage cross functional SIOP Reviews, creating SIOP Data Analytics and coordinate with Leadership to drive demand planning in ERP
  • Lead cross functional meetings such as Production Backlog/Revenue review, Procurement Material Meetings and more.
  • Manage all material planning through MRP to meet key performance indicators
  • Coordinate weekly production schedule working with product management, customer service, purchasing and the operations team.
  • Prepare, maintain, monitor and measure daily master production schedule (MPS) and ensure timely feedback to schedule adherence is provided to the production leads.
  • Periodic reporting on manufacturing completions versus plan and other critical planning performance measures
  • Manage inventory effectively through Kanban & visual management to meet our inventory accuracy goals
  • Setting and reviewing inventory policies, such as sub-assembly safety stocks to optimize production runs
  • Support E&O review by managing incoming material through just in time (JIT) process and working towards avoiding excess inventory
  • Participate in and drive NGS Continuous improvement activities assigned.
  • Ensure Master Data accuracy by contributing to ECO reviews

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies:

  • Education: BS/BA degree in a business or technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years experience in a planning role
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle or SAP preferred
  • APICS certification desirable
  • Ability to drive cost reduction projects to achieve consistent PPV and overall material spend reductions
  • Proven ability to ensure material availability, while reducing inventory and increasing inventory turns.
  • Systematic approach to analyzing and reducing the supply base to achieve maximize EOQ purchasing for cost effectiveness
  • Strong negotiation and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Team player with strong computer, written, verbal and skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage changing business conditions is essential
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment: Motors preferred
  • Working experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma environments
  • International purchasing & planning experience a plus
  • Understand and participate in the SIOP (Sales Inventory Operations Planning) process.
  • 10%-15%

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The base pay for this position is $65,000 to $81,000 per year depending on the geographic market.
  • Dependent on the position offered, annual bonuses and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the compensation package.
