Position Summary:
In this position, you would be responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale Celebrity Cruises refurbishment and revitalization projects, typically ranging from $5M to $20M in capital spend.
This is an individual contributor role with full delivery accountability, providing functional leadership over matrixed cross-functional teams, riding crew, traveling AMMs, vendors, and execution resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and operationally ready, while protecting guest experience and shipboard operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Own and lead the planning and execution of large-scale refurbishment, SOA initiatives, capital projects, and revitalization programs from concept through delivery, close-out, startup, and post-delivery.
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for project execution, coordinating all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Directly manage riding crew, traveling AMMs, and vendors, including deployment planning, onboard execution oversight, work sequencing, quality assurance controls, and issue resolution.
  • Lead execution in highly complex operational environments, including live operating vessels, dry docks, and phased delivery models, balancing schedule, cost, quality, safety, and guest experience.
  • Coordinate matrixed teams across Hotel Operations, Marine Operations, Design, Product Development, Shared Services, Finance, Safety/Security, IT, and Risk to ensure aligned execution and operational outcomes.
  • Establish execution plans, schedules, milestones, and risk- and quality-mitigation strategies for assigned projects in both dry-dock and in-service environments.
  • Protect operational readiness throughout execution by ensuring QA standards are maintained, operational impacts are actively managed, and work is delivered in support of safe and efficient startup.
  • Manage approved capital budgets, including forecasting, cost control, change management, and financial reconciliation.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Finance on vendor coordination, scope changes, and execution-phase commercial decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, regulatory, and Celebrity brand standards.
  • Proactively identify execution risks, operational constraints, and interdependencies, driving timely escalation and resolution.
  • Ensure completed projects are fully operational, documented, and transitioned through a structured handover to shipboard and shoreside owners.
  • Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement across future refurbishment and revitalization programs.
  • Travel as required to support onboard execution, shipyard activities, dry docks, and vendor coordination (up to 60%).
  • Perform other duties as required to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Hospitality, Business, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8-12+ years of experience managing complex refurbishment, revitalization, or capital projects.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects in the $5M-$20M range.
  • Experience in cruise, maritime, hospitality, or similarly constrained operational environments preferred.
  • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong project execution and delivery leadership in complex, capital-intensive environments.
  • Excellent cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management skills in matrixed organizations.
  • Strong financial acumen related to capital project planning, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schedules, and execution plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • High degree of computer literacy, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and related project management tools.
  • Strong understanding of shipboard operations or comparable live-environment execution.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required to support onboard execution, shipyard activities, dry docks, and vendor coordination (up to 60%).
