Job Summary

Bartenders at Hampton House are more than mixologists- they are curators of experience and energy. As part of our elite nightlife team, bartenders deliver high-level service, elevated product knowledge, and show-stopping presence in a fast-paced, members-only environment that caters to celebrities, tastemakers, and industry leaders.

This role requires speed, precision, and grace under pressure. It is ideal for professionals who can balance efficiency with elegance, multitasking with memory, and style with structure.


Responsibilities
Service Execution

  • Prepare and serve in coordination with food and beverage standards, with technical precision

  • Execute specialty recipes, seasonal features, and custom VIP requests with accuracy

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, wines, top-shelf spirits and cocktails

  • Ensure the bar is fully stocked, clean, and organized before, during, and after service

  • Coordinate seamlessly with servers and VIP staff for smooth, timely service

  • Uphold all responsible alcohol service standards in alignment with TABC and venue policy

Atmosphere and Presence

  • Bring energy, confidence, and charisma to every shift while staying composed under pressure

  • Create a luxury bar experience through body language, tone, and guest engagement

  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance that aligns with Hampton House’s elevated aesthetic

  • Read the room and adjust speed, service, and vibe based on flow and crowd

Team Collaboration

  • Communicate efficiently with cocktail servers, VIP hosts, security, and management

  • Assist with bottle presentation setups, specialty orders, and high-volume rushes

  • Monitor guest interactions at the bar and ensure a safe, welcoming atmosphere

  • Support team flow by anticipating needs and stepping in before being asked


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of bartending experience in luxury, high-volume nightlife or upscale hospitality

  • Mastery of cocktail fundamentals, proper pours, spirit knowledge, and presentation techniques

  • TABC and Food Handler Certifications (or ability to obtain)

  • Ability to maintain speed and accuracy under pressure

  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor

  • Availability for late nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in members-only clubs, entertainment venues, or luxury lounge settings

  • Comfort serving celebrity or high-profile clientele discreetly

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Compensation

This role operates under a Service Charge pay model. A set service charge is automatically added to guest checks and distributed among eligible front-of-house team members. This structure supports consistent, commission-based earnings and qualifies for the 7(i) overtime exemption.
