Rockfon is seeking a Ceiling Installation Specialist/Trainer, based in our Chicago facility, as part of our Rockfon Product Management team. This role is hybrid, working in the office Monday through Thursday, and work from home available on Fridays. This position will report to the Head of Product Management and requires travel of up to 50%, with occasional international travel.

The Ceiling Installation Specialist - Product Trainer will be responsible for training and certifying, as well as providing on-site support to installation ceiling contractors in Rockfon's Mono Acoustic ceiling system. Additionally, this role will ensure the successful installation of Specialty Ceiling and Acoustical Ceiling Tile systems. This role will serve as the primary member of the Technical Services team to address installation questions and concerns via calls and emails, ensuring our customers receive the highest level of support.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Support the hands-on training programs for Mono Acoustic to new and existing installers, following the principles of existing Mono Acoustic Certified Installer training programs.

  • Provide jobsite installation support for Mono Acoustic, Specialty Ceilings and Acoustical Ceilings Tile, driving knowledge and skill to ensure that installers successfully apply products onto their projects.

  • Identifies and analyzes product failures; orders and identifies replacement parts, components products as needed

  • Provide installation support for product development efforts as assigned.

  • Provide product and installation training to internal and external teams as directed.

  • Primary respondent to technical questions submitted to the Technical Services via email or the Technical Services hotline

  • Travel up to 50% to support opportunities across North America and Europe as needed

What You Bring

  • Minimum 2-3 years of commercial construction experience installing gypsum wallboard and/or seamless acoustical ceiling including estimating, installing, joint finishing and spray painting

  • Experience within the Ceilings industry

  • Understand ceiling industry testing, codes and standards, taking a hands-on approach to product training

  • Strong training skills to support marketing initiatives and proper installation practices

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the commercial construction arena - including reading architectural drawings, bids, project schedules, change order processes and budgeting

  • Familiarity with construction software programs such as CAD and BIM

  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and CRM

The annual salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience and the pay of employees in similar positions.
