Job description

Perform all tasks involved in the production of Country Archer's products. This includes cleaning and sanitizing machinery, tables, and rack. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Must comply with regulations set forth by Country Archer and USDA. May come in contact with chemicals that are for food safety cleaning and sanitation. Will need to be able to lift, push, and pull items between 15 and 50 pounds. Position requires standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, squatting and twisting frequently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for detail cleaning of processing equipment including, production utensils, tanks, totes, conveyors, packers, slicers, tumblers, overhead pipes, cooling units, walls, floors, drains, ceiling etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining outside waste area and perimeter.
  • Must use the 7 steps to effectively wet wash during cleaning to maintain Food Safety and Pest Control.
  • Must comply with all company and quality policies and chemical and safety procedures.
  • May be required to assemble and disassemble processing equipment.
  • Work in a timely manner to return production areas and equipment back to production.
  • Responsible for transporting trash and other waste for disposal.
  • Able to communicate problems or concerns with appropriate personnel.
  • Wear all proper protective equipment during sanitation cleaning.
  • Must have knowledge of lockout/tagout process
  • Must complete thorough, pre-op ready cleaning of raw department within 6 hours with 2 people
  • Must have room rinsed, washed, and sanitized before lunch
  • Must complete thorough, pre-op ready cleaning of packaging department within 7 hours with 3 people
  • Must complete thorough, pre-op ready cleaning of oven room within 2.5 hours with 2 people
Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months prior sanitation experience in food/beverage/pharmaceutical.
  • Knowledge of GMPs and SOP's
  • Knowledge of LOTO processes.
