The Project Manager will be assigned to work in Murfreesboro, TN.
  • Managing all aspects of CEI projects, ensuring successful delivery in accordance with TDOT and municipality requirements, project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, including TDOT personnel, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Supervising and mentoring Project Administrators, Senior Inspectors, and field staff
  • Providing leadership, direction, and oversight to CEI teams across multiple projects
  • Reviewing and approving construction documentation, reports, pay estimates, and change orders
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards, specifications, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Coordinating field activities, inspections, testing, and project closeout processes
  • Managing project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Leading project meetings and providing regular status updates to Division Manager, clients, and internal leadership
  • Supporting business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client relationship management
  • Ensuring proper training, development, and performance management of assigned staff

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of related CEI experience, including significant work on TDOT projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing CEI projects and leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong knowledge of TDOT standards, specifications, and procedures
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Maintain the physical ability to visit job sites and work in various outdoor environments as needed
  • Candidates must be trustworthy, responsible, and detail-oriented
  • Daily travel and/or overnight stays may be required depending on project needs
  • Valid TN Driverโ€™s License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Successful completion of drug screening and background check

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee (or ability to obtain)
  • TDOT certifications such as:
    • Aggregate Certified Testing Technician
    • Concrete Certified Field Technician
    • Hot Mix Asphalt Certified Plant Technician
    • Hot Mix Asphalt Certified Roadway Technician
    • Nuclear Radiation Safety certification
    • Tennessee Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
    • Prior experience as a CEI Project Administrator or similar leadership role
