Veterinary Information Network Continuing Education Coordinator

Veterinary Information Network is a 100,000+ strong community of practicing veterinarians, veterinary students, academics, and other colleagues who share medical and professional information.  VIN members interact with colleagues and access a large database of content in their quest to be the best veterinary professionals possible.  VIN also offers online continuing education to help members expand their expertise and meet their personal and professional goals.


VIN is seeking a full-time CE Facilitator to join our CE team and to help meet the growing e-learning needs of the VIN community.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop engaging online courses and educational materials tailored to the needs of veterinary professionals.
  • Assist instructors with all aspects of course preparation and logistics, including providing training on VIN’s real-time classroom environment, processing and preparing materials, and generally assisting with the development and delivery of the course.
  • Provide technical assistance to instructors, ensuring a smooth online teaching experience and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Provide participant support via phone and email, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues, and guiding them through the course enrollment and completion processes.
  • Track and analyze participant registration, attendance, feedback, and learning outcomes to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with VIN’s Education Managers to expand the curriculum and develop new course offerings.
  • Maintain VIN’s commitment to member satisfaction in all interactions.
  • Work with VIN’s technology team to resolve defects, define new processes, and generally contribute to the ongoing improvement of VIN’s CE delivery systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as communication/creative teams and member service, to ensure seamless course delivery, effective promotion, and an optimal learner experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated passion for education.
  • Proficiency with computer technology and software including MS Office and basic web page maintenance. Zoom and Keynote knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professionalism and a commitment to quality and integrity.
  • Be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Candidate must be available to work during some evening and weekend class hours.
  • Daily work schedule is 8am-5pm PST

Desired, but not required:

  • Experience in the veterinary profession or animal-related field.
  • Previous experience in online education or instructional design.
  • Previous experience with veterinary medicine education/teaching.

This position requires close collaboration and interaction with VIN staff.  As such, the ideal candidate will be local and able to work in-house at VIN’s main office in Davis, California. However, all applicants will be considered.

Wage range is $21-$25/hour
