Summary
Make a lasting impact in community health on Maui! We're seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Family or Internal Medicine Provider (NP, APRN, MD, or DO) to join our Adult Medicine team at Community Clinic of Maui, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving the local community. This full-time role provides primary care for adult patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting, with strong RN and MA support, and a deep commitment to preventive and whole-person care.
What You'll Do
  • Provide comprehensive adult primary care in an outpatient clinic, focusing on chronic disease management, prevention, and wellness.
  • Manage a panel averaging 16-20 patients per day within a 36-hour clinical week + 4 hours admin time.
  • Use Epic EMR to document care and close charts within 48 hours.
  • Participate in a team-based care model supported by dedicated RN and MA staff.
  • Rotate after-hours call coverage and work a half-day Saturday shift every 7-8 weeks.
  • Collaborate with an integrated team to support behavioral, dental, and social health needs of patients.
  • Educate patients on treatment adherence, preventive health, and self-care.
  • Uphold FQHC standards of care, participate in quality initiatives, and contribute to clinic goals.
Experience You'll Need
  • Licensed NP, APRN, MD, or DO in the State of Hawai'i (or eligibility for Hawai'i licensure).
  • At least 1 year of experience providing primary care to adult or family populations.
  • Experience in community health, FQHC, or Medicaid/underserved settings strongly preferred.
  • Epic EMR proficiency or ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong time management and charting efficiency skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, COPD, CHF, and substance use disorders.
  • Self-care and stamina to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment.
Compensation & Benefits
For APRN/FNP:
  • $128,750 - $160,000 base salary
  • $10,000 sign-on bonus
  • Up to $10,000 annual incentive for quality and productivity
  • Up to $3,600 CE allowance + 40 hours paid CE time
For MD/DO:
  • $220,000 - $240,000 base salary
  • $15,000 sign-on bonus
  • Up to $25,000 annual incentive for quality and productivity
Both roles include:
  • Clinic-paid malpractice coverage
  • 4 weeks paid vacation, 12 sick days, 1 personal day, 9 paid holidays
  • Additional 10 days of excess sick leave (temporary disability)
  • Paid licenses, membership dues, and health benefits package
  • Eligibility for loan repayment programs (NHSC / Hawai'i SLRP)
