Job Title: Dental Assistant (DA) / Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Salary: $22.00 – $30.00 per hour (Dependent on experience and credentials)

Location: 2901 E. Whittier Blvd. Los Angeles, Ca 90023

You’ll assist with patient preparation, sterilization of tools, room setup, and some dental hygiene activities. You should have a and provide excellent patient care to succeed in this position.

Dental assistants should be well-organized and meticulous in their work. You should be able to follow directions and adhere to the rules of the dental practice. We want you to be capable of delivering direct or indirect patient care and ensuring that office procedures run smoothly.

Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Welcome customers to the dental office

  • Prepare customers for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort

  • Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed

  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations

  • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry

  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions

  • Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked

  • When necessary, assist dentists in the management of medical and dental emergencies

  • Making sure medical and dental histories, as well as patient vital signs, are gathered and recorded

Dental Assistant Requirements:
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods

  • Understanding of health and safety regulations

  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus

  • Good computer skills

  • Excellent communication and people skill

  • Graduate of a dental assistant school is preferred
