Senior CDN Platform Engineer

Overview / Summary

We are seeking a Senior CDN Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of a modern Multi-CDN ecosystem. This role will be responsible for building scalable content delivery solutions, developing automation frameworks, creating self-service tooling, and supporting large-scale CDN migrations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in CDN technologies, infrastructure automation, security, and software development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy global content delivery architectures across CDN platforms, ensuring high availability and optimal edge performance.
  • Develop and maintain production-grade Terraform modules to automate CDN configurations, WAF rules, and bot management policies.
  • Architect and build a self-service portal using Python and modern front-end frameworks to enable product teams to manage CDN properties through APIs.
  • Design and implement centralized performance and security dashboards that integrate data from multiple CDN providers for real-time visibility into traffic and offload efficiency.
  • Lead technical migration efforts from legacy CDN environments to a diversified Multi-CDN architecture while ensuring minimal service disruption.
  • Establish and maintain standardized WAF and security baselines to provide consistent protection across digital properties.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing enterprise CDN platforms such as Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly, or Google Cloud CDN.
  • Deep understanding of DNS, TLS/SSL, caching headers, and edge computing.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure orchestration.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions, Tekton, or Jenkins.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for API development and automation scripting.
  • Experience building functional, data-driven web interfaces using React, Vue, or similar frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience configuring Web Application Firewalls (WAF), bot management solutions, and DDoS mitigation strategies.
  • Experience building dashboards using Grafana, Tableau, or custom visualization tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role within a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and its integration with CDN platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts across Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into strategic roadmaps for senior leadership.
