Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing nutrition plans tailored to residents' dietary needs.
  • Monitor resident meal service and ensure compliance with dietary orders.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of dietary adjustments and ensure accurate nutritional documentation.
  • Provide guidance and training to food service staff on proper portioning and nutrition practices.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and therapeutic diet guidelines.
  • Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, delivering excellent customer service.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in nutrition/dietetics or Certified Dietary Manager required.
  • Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required.
  • 1-3 years of dietary experience in long-term care in a consultant or supervisory role.
  • Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law. 
  • CDM / CFPP: Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)/Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP)  required where participant or certification is required by State regulation for long-term care.
  • General knowledge of nutrition, therapeutic diets, food safety, and sanitation.
  • Ability to follow meal schedules and read food tray cards accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain records.
  • Ability to interact positively with residents and staff.
  • Must be able to lift/carry 10 lbs., push/pull 10 lbs., and work around food/cleaning products.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
  • Must live in the service area.
