Job description

Clean Harbors Woburn, MA is looking for a Utility Driver/Driver Lead to join their team!  The Utility Driver supports our operations through safe and efficient transportation of materials and equipment. The successful candidate must have a valid CDL Class B license with the required endorsements and be comfortable operating a 10-speed manual transmission. This position will require local and regional travel throughout the Northeast, including occasional overnight stays.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Transport materials, equipment, and other items to various locations throughout the Northeast.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Assist with loading and unloading as needed.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle, mileage, delivery, and required regulatory records.
  • Follow all hazardous-material handling and transportation requirements.
  • Provide professional and courteous service at customer and job-site locations.
  • Travel as needed, including overnight trips within the Northeast.
  • Perform other utility and operational duties as assigned.


 

QUALIFICATIONS

What does it take to work for Company Name? 

  • Class B CDL required.
  • Air Brakes endorsement with no restrictions.
  • Hazmat (H) endorsement.
  • Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a 10-speed manual transmission.
  • Ability to train and mentor on job responsibilities.
  • Previous route service driving experience preferred.
  • Safe driving record and commitment to following all applicable DOT and company safety requirements.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Northeast and stay overnight as required.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with loading, unloading, and transporting materials, and be comfortable working at heights with the appropriate PPE.
