These drivers work for moving companies and handle tasks such as loading, transporting, and unloading clients’ belongings. OTR moving drivers typically spend extended periods away from home, travel nationwide, and must comply with federal transportation regulations. Their role combines the skills of safe driving, customer service, and sometimes supervising a moving crew.

CDL OTR Moving Drivers often encounter challenges such as long hours on the road, unpredictable schedules, and physically demanding loading and unloading tasks. Managing these challenges involves maintaining good time management, staying organized with delivery documentation, and prioritizing safety during both driving and manual labor. Many moving companies offer team-based support, regular communication with dispatchers, and training on safe lifting and driving practices to help drivers succeed.
