Job description

The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a premier logistics and warehousing organization in Dallas, TX and we are looking to hire an experienced and dependable CDL OTR(Over-the-road) Driver who will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and timely transportation & delivery of freight across designated routes while fulfilling all the DOT responsibilities. This is a unique opportunity to join a team that handles high-value, specialized freight across the country. What You'll Do Key Responsibilities Complete weekly or bi-weekly shuttle runs with a co-driver in a comfortable double-sleeper cab Load and unload freight as part of daily operations (most shipments are pre-packed or pre-crated, with all required handling equipment provided) Safely operate a Class A or Class B commercial vehicle over long distances while ensuring safe and legal operations & compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations always Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs and records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) Ensure timely and secure freight deliveries by coordinating effectively with dispatch regarding routes, schedules, and delivery requirements Comply with OSHA and DOT safety regulations, including hours of service requirements & vehicle weight restrictions Promptly report safety incidents, vehicle malfunctions, accidents, delays, or other operational concerns Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatch personnel, clients, and team members as needed Support the safe and efficient transportation of shipments as part of a collaborative team Enjoy a dynamic work environment with varied routes and unique transportation assignments Interest in developing skills beyond traditional driving responsibilities.
