About the Role

Steward Equipment is looking for a reliable, safety-conscious CDL Class A Driver to join our team in Conroe, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting heavy equipment, construction machinery, and Oilfield materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class A tractor-trailer combinations (flatbed, step-deck, lowboy/RGN).
  • Load, secure (chaining and strapping), and unload heavy machinery and oilfield equipment.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection checks.
  • Maintain accurate logs and shipping documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, yard managers, and clients upon delivery.
  • Comply with all local, state, and DOT regulations at all times.
  • This is an on-call position, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A) required.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of verified commercial driving experience (experience hauling heavy equipment, flatbeds and lowboys preferred).
  • Medical: Active DOT Medical Card.
  • Background Check: Clean Driving Record (MVR) and ability to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen and background check.
  • Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50–75 lbs and handle heavy-duty tie-down chains, straps, and binders in varying weather conditions.
  • Preferred: TWIC and Hazmat licensing.
