Job description

American Driver is hiring CDL A drivers in Dalton, GA. This position is open to drivers who are new to the industry — paid training is provided and there are no costs to you to get started.

Dalton sits in northwest Georgia on I-75, one of the most active freight corridors connecting the Southeast to the Midwest. Drivers based here have access to consistent Eastern OTR lanes with steady freight volume year-round.

How Training Works:

  • Fully paid 4–6 week program with an experienced mentor
  • You're hauling real freight from week one
  • Covers everything you need — ELD compliance, HOS rules, pre/post trip inspections, customer communication
  • Weekly paycheck from day one of training
  • After completion, you go solo at $0.56 CPM

A Typical Week:

  • Dry van, no-touch freight
  • Heavy drop and hook — around 60%
  • Consistent 2,200–2,500 miles weekly
  • Eastern OTR lanes with reliable freight
  • Mix of day and night dispatch based on load availability

Earnings:

  • Base CPM $0.56, up to $0.65 with experience
  • Most drivers take home $1,200–$1,500 per week
  • Additional pay for stops, layovers, and breakdowns
  • Automatic pay review at six months
  • $300 for orientation week
  • Direct deposit every week without exception

Home Time:

  • Planned home time every two weeks — consistent and predictable

Equipment:

  • Assigned Freightliner or Kenworth (2022–2025)
  • All trucks equipped with APUs
