Job description

SUMMARY:
The driver position is responsible for maintaining a professional appearance and knowledge of materials delivered to the customer. The driver will safely drive and handle all materials in accordance with the company standards of service.
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Class B CDL driver's license 
  • Clean driving record - current 
  • DOT Medical Card
  • Ability to work overtime 
  • High School diploma

ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Can-do attitude
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting and communicating with management


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Warehouse environment as well as outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures
  • Operating various types of vehicles or fork-lift on a daily basis
  • Multiple movements in and out of vehicles on a daily basis



COMPENSATION:
The compensation range for this position is $22.00 to $25.00 hourly

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NO
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Deliver material to customer job sites and offices 
  • Obtain Proof of Delivery when making deliveries
  • Operate Commercial Flatbed and Box Trucks up to 66,000 LBS GVWR 
  • Operate Sprinter Style Vans 
  • Operate Moffett Truck Mounted Forklifts 
  • Adhere to all posted traffic laws
  • Communicate between warehouse manager and customers 
  • Ensure ELD Compliance 
  • Complete Pre & Post-Trip Inspections
