Position: Geotechnical Driller's Assistant

Location: Ebensburg, PA

Start Date: February 2021

   

Position Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify our company’s core values

  • Complete timesheets as directed
  • Complete expense reports as directed
  • Complete corporate and division paperwork
  • Meet assigned quarterly/annual rocks

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Specific to position

  • Produce high quality work in the most efficient and productive manner
    • Work under the direction of the driller to perform geotechnical drilling operations in very diverse subsurface conditions and terrain
    • Assist the driller in the maintenance and inspection of all vehicle and drilling equipment
    • Load and transport drilling equipment and materials to project sites; travel time and distance will depend upon each project
    • Maintain a constant conscience level of safety, including following safety procedures and conducting work in protective clothing
    • Identify problems, roadblocks, or defects and bring to the supervisor’s or manager’s attention in a timely manner, including suggested solutions
    • Manage personal time, effort, and commitment in an efficient manner; including informing supervisor or manager in a timely manner when unable to meet demands
    • Assure and actively participate in quality control and/or quality assurance in accordance with company and divisional guidelines
    • Meet required deadlines
    • Continually assess and revise the manner in which assignments are accomplished to meet and/or exceed standards, improve productivity and quality and meet or exceed the needs of internal and external clients
  • Actively pursue continuing education, training, or professional development activities to remain current with industry standards
  • Meet or exceed utilization goal
