Senior-level Associate - Employment Litigation
Orange County, California

CDF Labor Law LLP is seeking an accomplished Senior-level Associate with at least seven years of California employment litigation experience to join our Orange County team.
This is an opportunity to take a leading role in sophisticated litigation and advisory matters for clients ranging from regional businesses to Fortune 500 companies. You will work closely with relationship partners while having the autonomy to shape strategy, manage cases and deliver exceptional client service.
Employer-side experience is preferred.
Salary Range: $235,000-$305,000, depending on experience Work Options: In-office and hybrid
What You'll Do
As Senior-level Associate, you will:
  • Lead single-plaintiff, class action, collective action and PAGA matters through all phases of litigation
  • Collaborate with relationship partners to develop strategy-and take ownership of its execution
  • Direct discovery, take and defend depositions and work with expert witnesses
  • Draft and argue dispositive and other significant motions
  • Appear in court and represent clients at trial and in arbitration proceedings
  • Lead settlement negotiations and advocate for clients in mediations
  • Prepare complex matters for trial and arbitration
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients across a range of industries

What You'll Bring
  • At least seven years of California labor and employment litigation experience
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California
  • A Juris Doctor degree
  • The ability to independently manage significant litigation matters
  • Experience handling complex class action and PAGA matters, including class certification, dispositive motions, expert discovery and trial preparation
  • Experience handling single-plaintiff FEHA-related claims
  • Excellent writing, analytical, advocacy and interpersonal skills
  • Sound judgment, initiative and a collaborative approach
