This position provides epidemiology support to tribal and minority health organizations through data analysis, disease surveillance, case and outbreak investigations, and public health reporting. The Epidemiologist works collaboratively with public health and informatics teams to turn complex health data into meaningful information that supports situational awareness, informed decision-making, and effective disease prevention efforts. This is an opportunity to apply your public health expertise while contributing to work that directly supports the health and well-being of diverse communities. This position will only be needed until November of 2027.Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) is a public entity that is an educational cooperative under the State of South Dakota. BHSSC is comprised of five divisions dedicated to aiding school districts, individuals, and the communities.
