Executive Chef - Full Time
FTK Hospitality Baltimore | Washington, DC

FTK Hospitality DC is seeking a dedicated Executive Chef to lead the kitchen at one of Baltimore's most acclaimed upscale coastal fine dining restaurants. In this role, you will oversee the preparation of elevated European cuisine while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Join a passionate culinary team committed to creativity and excellence in a vibrant dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all back-of-house (BOH) kitchen operations, including service execution, preparation, and quality standards.
  • Develop and execute seasonal menus that align with the coastal European culinary concept.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor all kitchen staff to build a high-performing team.
  • Manage food costs, labor, inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships effectively.
  • Collaborate with ownership on culinary direction, special events, and private dining programming.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of Executive Chef or strong Chef de Cuisine (CDC) experience in fine dining, upscale coastal, or European concepts.
  • Proven leadership in back-of-house operations — focus on team development, accountability, and staff retention.
  • Experience with food cost management and kitchen P&L oversight.
  • Strong product knowledge, especially in seafood and locally sourced ingredients, with the ability to create seasonal menus.
