Job description

Bennett Aerospace, Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader,is seeking a Biostatistician II to support Department of Defense public health programs at Aberdeen Proving Ground. The selected candidate will provide statistical expertise in support of public health studies and surveillance activities by assisting with study design, preparing analysis plans, conducting statistical analyses, interpreting findings, and developing technical reports and presentations.
This position requires a collaborative professional who can work effectively with investigators, data managers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure statistical analyses are accurate, well-documented, and aligned with applicable guidance and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide statistical guidance and recommendations related to public health study design and analysis.
  • Develop and review statistical sections of public health studies, protocols, reports, and related documentation.
  • Prepare statistical analysis plans and detailed specifications for analysis datasets, consistency checks, tables, listings, and figures.
  • Conduct statistical analyses using appropriate methodologies and interpret analytical findings.
  • Draft statistical sections of study reports and other technical deliverables.
  • Collaborate with data managers, investigators, study personnel, and other stakeholders regarding statistical design, programming, and analytical approaches.
  • Maintain statistical documentation, analysis records, and supporting files in accordance with established regulations, guidance, and procedures.
  • Develop technical reports, business process documentation, charts, tables, presentations, and other professional-quality products.
  • Participate in quality control activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of statistical outputs.
  • Maintain all requirements necessary to obtain and retain a Public Trust determination.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Epidemiology with substantial quantitative coursework, or a closely related field; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Biostatistics, or a related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience applying statistical methods in public health, healthcare, epidemiology, clinical research, or related analytical environments.
  • Experience performing statistical analyses and interpreting results using established methodologies.
  • Proficiency with one or more statistical software packages, such as:
    • SAS
    • R
    • SQL (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency, CDC, NIH, VA, academic medical centers, or other Federal health programs.
  • Experience preparing statistical analysis plans, tables, figures, and technical reports.
  • Experience working with healthcare, surveillance, administrative, or epidemiologic datasets.
  • Familiarity with data validation and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary study teams.

The salary range for this position is $124,500 - 135,900
