Arbor Staffing is seeking a compassionate, experiencedCDA Mentor to support staff working toward their Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys mentoring adult learners, and wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of future educators.
As a CDA Mentor, you will provide coaching, guidance, feedback, and technical assistance to educators within the Child Care Services Division. You will support staff as they work through the CDA process while promoting developmentally appropriate practices, professional growth, and compliance with EEC standards.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and experienced with the CDA credentialing process. This person should be comfortable building relationships with educators from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and providing supportive, constructive feedback to help them grow in their careers.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and technical assistance to staff working toward their CDA credential
  • Support educators and child care providers with the CDA process and professional development goals
  • Conduct classroom and practitioner observations and offer constructive, supportive feedback
  • Assist educators with curriculum implementation and developmentally appropriate practices
  • Model effective documentation practices
  • Help programs understand and maintain EEC licensing requirements and curriculum guidelines
  • Share strategies and resources tailored to various learning styles, cultures, languages, and preferences
  • Support educators serving children with a wide range of developmental needs and abilities
  • Encourage confidence, independence, professionalism, and growth in future educators
  • Maintain accurate documentation of mentoring activities, observations, and progress
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and positive working relationships

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Experience with the CDA credentialing process required
  • Experience in early childhood education, child care, mentoring, coaching, or a related field required
  • CDA, EEC certification, or related early childhood education credential preferred
  • Knowledge of EEC standards, licensing requirements, and developmentally appropriate practices preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to provide respectful, constructive feedback to educators and adult learners
  • Experience supporting individuals from diverse cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for travel between locations
  • Must be dependable, professional, and passionate about helping others succeed
