Job description

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Test Engineer / Senior Principal Systems Test Engineer. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL, Colorado Springs, CO, or Roy, UT, supporting the Sentinel program.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead for a team of System Administrators, DevOps SMEs, and Test Engineers
  • Act as the Lead for a reproducible secure and immutable test network for integration, test, and prototyping
  • Develop and manage software test infrastructure and ConOps
  • Collaborate with counterpart leads in integration and lab operations to accel and deliver program milestones
  • Coordinate and implement derived requirements from software development stakeholder teams

Basic Qualifications:
  • T03 Principal Systems Test Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
  • T04 Senior Principal Systems Test Engineer: 8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD

BQs for both:
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time (as determined by the company to meet its business need)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving leadership skills
  • An ability to obtain DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE, etc.) within 6 months of filling position
  • Experience in networking fundamentals, network architecture and design, Cisco, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Windows Operating System (OS)
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory (AD), VMware, or Storage Area Network (SAN) storage systems

Preferred Qualifications
  • System administration experience (Ubuntu / RHEL)
  • Collaboration tools experience (JIRA / Confluence)
  • Programming and scripting experience (Bash / Python / Ruby)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Podman) and cluster controllers (Kubernetes)
  • Cyber experience: Information System Security Policy (ISSP) creation/modification, meeting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) requirements, Splunk, Nessus/Tenable, Trellix/McAfee, and create/manage Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) / Information System Security Officer (ISSO) / Information System Security Manager (ISSM) Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
  • Infrastructure experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery or Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline, Terraform and Packer, code reviews, project management, issue handling, DevOps with an understanding of Gitlab Project and vSphere
  • Experience integrating Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS), Government Off The Shelf (GOTS) and custom software in a security constrained lab environment
