Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

FilMax is a rapidly growing automotive film manufacturer based in Jurupa Valley, California, serving professional installers and distributors across North America. As we continue expanding our U.S. operations, we are seeking a hands-on Part-Time IT Support Technician to support our office, warehouse, and production facility.

You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining warehouse IT infrastructure while ensuring employees have the tools they need to operate efficiently.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with networking equipment, warehouse technology, computers, and security systems, and enjoys providing responsive, customer-focused technical support.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot office and warehouse Wi-Fi networks, routers, switches, and internet equipment.
  • Install, configure, and maintain security camera (CCTV) systems and network video recorders (NVRs).
  • Set up and support warehouse workstations, desktop computers, laptops, monitors, and peripheral devices.
  • Install and configure warehouse printers, shipping label printers, barcode scanners, and related hardware.
  • Configure printing systems for shipping and warehouse operations.
  • Troubleshoot Windows computers, printers, networking equipment, and office technology.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 user setup, email configuration, and workstation deployment.
  • Coordinate with our China-based IT team to resolve hardware and software issues when necessary.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and recommend hardware replacements or upgrades.
  • Respond to on-site IT support requests and provide timely technical assistance to employees.
  • Support new employee workstation setup, including computer deployment, user accounts, and equipment installation.
  • Document IT procedures, equipment configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

Requirements

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 2–5 years of hands-on IT support experience in an office, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and general desktop support.
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks, routers, switches, and internet connectivity.
  • Experience installing and configuring security camera (CCTV) systems.
  • Familiarity with barcode scanners, shipping label printers, warehouse printers, and related hardware.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with hardware installation, workstation deployment, and cable management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience supporting warehouse operations or manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin is a plus but not required.
  • Experience supporting warehouses, distribution centers, or manufacturing facilities.
  • Experience with barcode scanning systems.
  • Familiarity with shipping platforms, label printing systems, and ERP software Odoo.
  • Basic knowledge of firewall and network security best practices.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 administration.
