What You'll Do:
As an Electrical Designer at Peter Basso Associates, you’ll join project teams working with top architects, contractors, and facility owners across diverse markets - education, healthcare, research, institutional, multi-family, and mixed-use. You'll apply creative solutions to complex challenges and contribute to projects from concept through construction.
What We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate has the following experience, education or qualifications:

  • Experience in designing any one of the following electrical systems:
    • Power Distribution Systems, including medium and low voltage distribution systems, standby power applications, load calculations, short circuit and coordination studies, arc flash hazard.
    • Lighting Systems, including calculations, lighting controls, luminaire selections and architecturally integrated lighting systems.
    • Auxiliary Systems, including fire alarm systems, voice/data structured cabling systems, access control, CCTV and other low voltage systems design.
  • Associate's degree or studies toward a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an Engineering-related
    curriculum from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial building systems design.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Ability to work together with the project manager, discipline lead engineer and all team members on assigned engineering tasks assuring technical expectations, schedule and manpower budgets are met.
  • Knowledge of all design disciplines coordination required and the impact on the project.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • ​​​​​Team-oriented problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, and flexible.
