Join our Team! We've started our search for candidates who want to experience an adventure of a lifetime as Seasonal Security (2nd & 3rd Shift) at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari. The discoveries you make on our award-winning team as you journey through FUN is what leads our Guests to embark on their own adventure full of memories, season after season.
Our Seasonal Security (2nd & 3rd Shift) are responsible for patrolling the property, monitoring CCTV camera systems, observing and reporting incidents and alarms, and managing the access control system. Hours for these shifts include:
2nd Shift: 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm
3rd Shift: 11:30 pm - 7:30 am
How You'll Be Making a Difference
  • Monitor security phones and radio systems
  • Operate and monitor camera systems, record and review footage
  • Use access control system to lock/unlock gates and doors, monitor keycard and FOB use
  • Patrol park properties by foot and by vehicle
  • Secure windows, doors, and gates
  • Observe and report property damage, incidents, missing equipment, and safety hazards
  • Monitor weather, respond to burglar and fire alarms
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy
  • Communicate with other Team Members, management, and emergency response teams via radio and/or cell phone as needed
  • Acts as a deterrent to undesirable behaviors and actions
  • Complete end of shift debriefs with oncoming Team Member
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old or older
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain self-control during peak periods, incidents, interpersonal conflicts, and emergencies
  • Must be willing to work primarily overnight hours
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions
  • Must be able to operate working alone and in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
