CCTV Monitoring Officer
Position Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-service-oriented CCTV Monitoring Officer / Security Officer to provide a strong security presence at a high-value warehouse and logistics facility. This is primarily a standing post requiring officers to remain alert, visible, and engaged throughout the shift while maintaining a professional presence and providing excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors. Responsibilities include monitoring surveillance systems, observing site activity, identifying suspicious behavior, maintaining access control awareness, and communicating effectively with on-site security personnel and Dispatch when incidents or security concerns occur.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor CCTV cameras covering entrances, loading docks, warehouse areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or safety concerns
  • Maintain accurate incident reports and daily activity logs
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and on-site officers
  • Monitor access control activity and after-hours site movement
  • Assist with loss prevention and asset protection efforts
  • Report equipment malfunctions, hazards, or emergency situations immediately

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor CCTV camera systems covering entrances, exits, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking lots, and perimeter locations
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, safety concerns, or unusual behavior
  • Maintain continuous communication with Dispatch and on-site security personnel
  • Support access control procedures for employees, vendors, visitors, and delivery personnel
  • Monitor warehouse operations and assist with loss prevention efforts
  • Identify and report security, safety, or operational concerns in a timely manner
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and professionally
  • Monitor after-hours activity and ensure property security during non-business hours
  • Assist with emergency response procedures when required
  • Ensure surveillance equipment and communication devices remain operational and report malfunctions immediately
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while performing assigned duties

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous security, CCTV monitoring, warehouse security, or dispatch experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods
  • Basic computer knowledge and report-writing ability required
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required
