Job description

Starting Hourly Rate: $29.88 - $32.18 (Offer will be commensurate with experience)
After hire, pay increases are dependent on length of service, advancement in the position, and other contractual factors. In this position you have the potential of making up to $40.15/hour.

The City of Ann Arbor offers a competitive wage and benefits package including medical, vision, dental, paid vacation, sick and holiday leave.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am - 3:30pm with after-hours emergency call-ins as needed.
Role Summary:
To inspect, install, upgrade, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment and systems for wastewater treatment and associated collection and distribution equipment, systems and components.
This role has two tracks, an electrician track and an instrument technician track. While a technician may work on duties associated with both tracks, for this position they will have the primary responsibility in the instrumentation track.
Licensing Requirements:
  • Journeyman Electrician (State of Michigan license within 1 year)

Or
  • ISA CCST 1 Certification or relevant Associate's degree (electronics) or 7,000 hours of relevant experience (serving as an Instrument Technician in an industrial facility).
    • ISA CCST 1 Certification is required within 2 years.
    • ISA CCST 2 Certification is required within 4 years.
