LOCATION:Job is fully remote (all field work)
***This individual will need to live within 1 hour of Nashua, NH. This is a Field Technician that will be dispatched from there home .
SALARY: $75,000 to $80,000

SUMMARY:
  • Looking for a Field Technician for the Company's Field Services organization supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • This role will be responsible for support at the Boston Air Route Control Center and remote sites in the Boston airspace.
  • Field technician will support FAA contracts FTI, ADSB, DCNS and any other FSG programs.

Essential Functions:
  • This is a support level position requiring a thorough knowledge of theinstallation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications related systems and/or equipment, gained through formal education or fromconsiderable and varied experience in working with the installation,service activation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication systemsand devices.
  • Responsiblefor the installation, repair, configuration, test and preventativemaintenance of network equipment, telecommunications equipment and/or computers.
  • Proficientin Microsoft or UNIX operating systems, and the components of the MSOffice Suite. Maintains records on repairs, downtime, changes andupdates.

Network Knowledge / Skills:
  • Good working knowledge of cable connectors and replacement, such as RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449
  • Haveexcellent working knowledge of fiber, working knowledge of Multiplexes,Network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology,ATM, Private Line, Voice and Data applications
  • Goodworking knowledge of power testing, AD and DC including 3 Phase AC. Familiar with configuration and operation of the 24VDC & 48 VDC powersupplies.
  • Experience with network and circuit testing with T1 Testing Specifications, DS3Testing, Digital Testing (BERT), and Analog VG Testing within Bell CoreStandards.
  • Workingknowledge and usage of various network test equipment:JDSU HST,Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, Digital Oscilloscope, Halcyon 704A, Para-scopeor other T1/DS3 Test sets.

Computer Knowledge / Skills:
  • Performbasic software troubleshooting and diagnostics,
  • Serveas the point of contact for unresolved problems from the Help Desk or NOC.
  • Installhardware and software including operating system and office applications,
  • Responsiblefor providing computer hardware, software and network technical support to end-users,
  • Assists with setup and configuration of system hardware and software.
  • MicrosoftOffice suite.

Qualifications:
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Wireless, A+
  • Abilityto work from home, in an "on-call" status.
  • Capableof lifting 70 pounds
  • Willing to travel (up to 100% of the time) to remote sites within a 4-hour drive circle of base location. Technicians may be asked to traveloutside of their assigned region, as needed.
  • Posses and maintain a valid Driver's License, and satisfactory driving record, as conditions of initial (and continued0 employment

  • Willingnessand/or ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours to meetoperational needs and to respond to after-hours emergency calls as required.
