Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off 

 

Job Description: 

L3Harris is a leader in providing advanced technology solutions, and we are currently seeking a proactive and motivated Network Control Intern to join our operations center team. This internship will offer hands-on experience in network management, monitoring, and troubleshooting within a dynamic 24x7 network control environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor and analyze network problems using network management and monitoring tools.
  • Respond to network alarms to minimize disruptions and impact on end users.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and contribute to developing action plans for service restoration.
  • Collaborate with L3Harris teams and external telecommunication partners to optimize operational processes and restoration times.
  • Participate in coordination with User Community, Field Services Group, and telecommunication partners for Break/Fix actions and Change Management activities.
  • Document Trouble Tickets and Change Requests related to network activities.

Qualifications: 

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology with a focus on Networking, Cybersecurity, or related field. 

Preferred Skills:  

  • Basic understanding of L1 through L4 of the OSI Model.
  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN/MAN technologies.
  • Knowledge of Incident, Change, and Problem Management practices is beneficial.
  • Certifications such as CCENT, CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA, or ITIL v3/4
