Job description

Effective for the 2026-2027 school year, a vacancy for full-time Speech and Language Therapist positions for school-age exists within the Division of Student Services for the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This position will serve school age special education students within the Reading Area school district.

Qualifications:

  • Must have valid PDE certification as a Speech & Language Therapist
  • Master's degree in Communicative Disorders
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence; Clinical Fellowship year considered
  • Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required
  • Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech/language therapy services, complete evaluations and maintain all paperwork for a caseload of students including itinerant classrooms.

Position location: Countywide
 

Salary 2026-27 School Year:

  • $74,415- $107,845 - all SLPs with Master's Degree in Speech Pathology/Communication Sciences Disorders (Track I)

** Placement on salary range is determined by years of experience
