The Role
CCC Intelligent Solutions is seeking a Director of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) to build and lead a new strategic marketing function focused on accelerating growth within our most important accounts.
The Director of ABM will define the strategy, operating model, playbook, and execution approach for account-based marketing at CCC. This leader will establish the foundational processes, team structure, stakeholder engagement model, measurement framework, and scalable programs that connect marketing investment directly to account growth, customer engagement, and business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is both a strategist and a builder. They bring deep experience with account-based marketing approaches but are equally energized by creating new capabilities from scratch, navigating ambiguity, and driving organizational change. They know how to move from concept to execution, balancing long-term vision with the practical realities of building momentum in a growing organization.
This leader will initially operate as a player/coach, personally leading strategic initiatives while building and developing a high-performing team over time. Success requires exceptional collaboration and influence across Sales, Product, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, and Marketing to orchestrate resources around shared account objectives and drive measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and Scale the ABM Function
  • Define and lead CCC's account-based marketing strategy, operating model, and roadmap.
  • Develop the ABM playbook, including planning frameworks, stakeholder engagement models, campaign orchestration processes, measurement approaches, and governance.
  • Establish scalable processes and best practices that enable the organization to execute account-based marketing consistently and effectively.
  • Create the foundation for future growth by identifying required capabilities and skill sets, addressing talent gaps, and recruiting and developing the team needed to scale.
  • Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on account-based marketing strategies, trends, and best practices.

Lead Account-Based Marketing Strategy and Execution
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to identify priority accounts, growth opportunities, expansion motions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and execute 1:1 and 1:few ABM programs tailored to business priorities and customer segments, rooted in shared sales and marketing ownership, deep account insight, stakeholder mapping, personalized experiences, and revenue-focused outcomes.
  • Translate account intelligence, buying group insights, intent signals, and market trends into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Design and orchestrate personalized engagement plans that align marketing, sales, product, customer success, and executive stakeholders around common account objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate performance, optimize strategies, and evolve programs based on results and business needs.

Drive Cross-Functional Alignment and Influence
  • Build strong partnerships across Sales, Customer Success, Product, Corporate Marketing, Revenue Operations, and executive leadership.
  • Lead planning and prioritization discussions that align stakeholders, resources, and investments around the accounts and opportunities that matter most and mobilize cross-functional teams toward shared goals.
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to business leaders, helping connect customer needs, market opportunities, and growth objectives to marketing investments.
  • Drive organizational adoption of account-based marketing principles and ways of working.

Build and Develop the Team
  • Define the optimal organizational design, identify necessary skill sets, and recruit, build, and develop a high-performing account-based marketing team.
  • Establish clear roles, career paths, expectations, and development plans.
  • Coach team members on strategic thinking, customer-centric planning, stakeholder management, and execution excellence.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Balance hands-on contribution with leadership responsibilities to ensure team success during the growth phase of the function.

Measure Impact and Drive Business Outcomes
  • Define success metrics that connect ABM activity to engagement, pipeline, account growth, retention, and revenue outcomes.
  • In partnership with Marketing Analytics and Revenue Operations, develop reporting frameworks that provide visibility into performance and inform future investment decisions.
  • Regularly communicate results, insights, recommendations, and strategic priorities to senior leaders.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in B2B marketing, demand generation, strategic marketing, account-based marketing, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in SaaS, technology, data, analytics, or enterprise software environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience building, launching, and scaling account-based marketing programs.
  • Experience creating new marketing capabilities, functions, frameworks, or operating models from the ground up.
  • Experience leading and developing marketing teams.
  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive alignment across complex organizations.
  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working closely with Sales organizations and supporting enterprise growth initiatives.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with account intelligence, intent data, marketing automation, CRM, and revenue operations technologies.
  • Experience managing marketing performance measurement and attribution frameworks.

Success Looks Like

The Director of Account-Based Marketing will create the strategy, playbook, team, and operating model that define how CCC approaches account-based growth.
