Job Summary
  • In coordination with Service representatives, coordinate, assess, and analyze CBRN defense doctrinal, operational, tactical, and training requirements (Doctrine, Organizational, Training, materiel, Leadership. Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTmLPF-P) analysis as well as JFRP document reviews).
  • Inform efforts to synchronize, integrate, and align capabilities, experimentation, and demonstrations supporting requirements development and research, development, and acquisition (RDA) processes; identify and inform solutions for significant organizational, training, modernization, and sustainment issues requiring EA decisions, coordination, and integration.
  • Ensure interoperability, where appropriate, between and among joint military capabilities.
  • Integrate and coordinate performance requirements for an existing or proposed CBRND capability submitted to the CBRND Portal.
  • Identify new CBRND joint military capabilities based on advances in technology and concepts of operation.
  • Maintain visibility of research, development, and acquisition (RDA) and demonstration activities associated with the CBRND programs of the Services, Combatant Commands and relevant defense agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Develop CBRND and CWMD Operational Architectures.
  • Produce full operational architectures for up to 3 requirements documents per year.
  • Produce up to one overarching operational concept architecture per year. All products generated will comply with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
  • Development of architecture products to support Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE), Defense Acquisition System (DAS), Systems Engineering (SE) and Capability Portfolio Management (CPM).
  • Maintain all legacy architectures using Government approved configuration management processes.
  • Facilitate the use of architecture software products on the Army Staff Unclassified and Secret networks.

Key Qualifications
  • A BS or prior military experience.
  • At least four years of CBRN defense or CWMD program-specific architecture experience and six years general architecture experience.
  • Three years' experience producing military operational architectures and at least two (2) years' experience with bio-surveillance operational and/or system architectures.
  • Expertise in using IBM Rational System Architect and ERwin Data Modeler software with Microsoft UML familiarity or,
  • Expertise in using DoDAF Meta-Model (DM2), MagicDraw/Cameo, IBM Rhapsody, Dalus, or Arcadia.
  • Active Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret (TS) with SCI eligibility.
  • 8-15+ years of relevant experience in technical analysis, systems engineering, or CBRN defense.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Biology, Chemistry, Engineering), Data Science, or IT is required; Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in tools like HPAC (Hazard Prediction and Assessment Capability) or OneSAF for CBRN mapping and scenario development.
  • Expertise in data schemas, ontologies, and modeling tools to structure classified intelligence.
  • Deep familiarity with CBRN defense, WMD nonproliferation, and consequence management.
  • Expertise in using IBM Rational System Architect and ERwin Data Modeler software with Microsoft UML familiarity or,
  • Expertise in using DoDAF Meta-Model (DM2), MagicDraw/Cameo, IBM Rhapsody, Dalus, or Arcadia.
