Substance Use/Mental Health Specialist
 

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.

CBI is the premiere non-profit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona, including prevention, education and treatment using cutting-edge, nationally recognized, evidence-based models.

Job Summary 

he Substance Use/Mental Health Specialist is responsible for the provision of clinical therapeutic services to patients assigned to the CBI Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (F/ACT) team. The Substance Use/Mental Health Specialist will provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment to patients (and their families) whom are assigned to the F/ACT team. Each area below is defined by specific function as it relates to policy, process, and the governing rules set forth by the Department of Behavioral Health Services (DBHS), Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), Bureau of Medical facilities Licensing (BMFL), and the Code of Federal Regulations. Each employee will be held accountable and responsible for fulfilling each of these duties as well as having the capability to carry them out. 

Experience Required


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field related Behavioral Health or 1 year of clinical experience in substance abuse treatment.  Master’s Degree is preferred but not required.  Preference given to Master’s Degree in field related to behavioral health and/or has been licensed at the associate level with The Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as Psychologist, Social worker, Counselor, Marriage and family therapist or Substance Abuse Counselor. 
  • 1-3 years of full-time Health Care related work experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations is preferred but not required.
