Job description

St. John School in Fenton is seeking a Preschool Teacher reporting to the Preschool Director. Job Summary: The Preschool Teacher provides a nurturing, faith-filled environment for young children to grow spiritually, academically, and socially. The teacher implements developmentally appropriate curriculum grounded in Catholic values. This is a full time position for preschool 3 and preschool 4 levels.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plans and implements engaging lessons that promote early childhood development.
  • Integrates Catholic values, prayer, and faith formation into daily classroom life.
  • Maintains a safe, caring, and organized classroom environment.
  • Collaborates with parents, aides, and administration.
  • Assesses and documents children’s progress.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
  • Current Michigan Teaching Certification (ZA or ZS endorsement preferred).
  • CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test (per State licensing).
  • Completion of Protecting God’s Children and background checks.
