The goal is to use technology ethically and effectively to support Catholic teachings and outreach.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a Catholic Tech?

To excel as a Catholic Tech, you need a strong background in information technology, digital communications, or web development, coupled with an understanding of Catholic culture, values, and organizational needs. Familiarity with content management systems, social media platforms, web analytics, and audiovisual equipment is often required, along with credentials such as a bachelor's degree in IT or a related field. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills set candidates apart, especially when supporting clergy and ministry staff. These abilities are important for effectively integrating technology into faith-based initiatives while maintaining alignment with Catholic mission and community expectations.

What do Catholic Techs do?

As a Catholic Tech, you may be responsible for maintaining parish websites, managing livestreams of services, setting up audiovisual equipment for events, and supporting staff with software or hardware issues. Job description

Radiology Technologist

Inspired by faith. Driven by innovation. Powered by humankindness. CommonSpirit Health is building a healthier future for all through its integrated health services. As one of the nation's largest nonprofit Catholic healthcare organizations, CommonSpirit Health delivers more than 20 million patient encounters annually through more than 2,300 clinics, care sites and 158 hospital-based locations, in addition to its home-based services and virtual care offerings.

Under the direction of the Radiologist and/or Radiology Manager and/or Assistant Manager and/or Chief Technologist, the technologist responsibly performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring no constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative. Demonstrates the ability to understand the unique infant/child, adolescent, adult and geriatric population and effectively meet those needs relative to growth, assessment and development of the patients. Assumes responsibility for performance in designated areas or procedures as required.

This position is represented by SEIU, Local 1107 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Required:

  • Must be capable of performing all routine diagnostic procedures independently, including but not limited to: routine, fluoroscopy, OR, trauma, portable radiographs, and limited specials such as Myelograms, Venograms, and ERCPs.
  • Successful completion of a fully accredited training program (full accreditation means the training program is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a similar, nationally recognized accrediting agency), in the pertinent modality for which the employee is being hired.
  • Successful and valid registration/certification by a nationally recognized accrediting agency in the specific modality for which the employee was hired — or registry-eligible, with valid registration/certification obtained within four (4) months of hire date.
  • After one year of satisfactory performance as a validly registered/certified technologist in the specific modality for which the employee was hired, the employee will be reclassified to the Imaging Technologist classification.
  • Modality-specific advanced level registry must be obtained within twelve (12) months of hire date.
  • Should any of the above requirements (completion of the program or achieving registration/certification) not be obtained within the specified time-frame, a single three (3) month extension may be considered and granted at the discretion of management.
  • Failure to obtain valid certification will result in immediate termination of employment.
  • CT CPRBLS = Basic Life Support CPR.
  • Must have one of the following: registry or certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (RG ARRT, CT ARRT, CT CATTECH, CT MMRT, CT MRITECH, CT XRT), the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (CT NMT), or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RG ARDMS). Must be available to participate in on-call rotations and arrive at the hospital within a 30-minute response time.
