Job description

Catholic Hospice is seeking Certified Art Therapists to volunteer their professional skills in providing creative, therapeutic support to hospice patients throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

⚠️ Please Note: This opportunity is strictly for credentialed/certified art therapists. Certification is required.

Art therapy offers hospice patients a meaningful way to express emotions, process life experiences, reduce anxiety, and create moments of reflection and peace. Through guided creative expression, patients can find comfort, dignity, and connection during one of the most important chapters of their lives.

Volunteer visits are available 7 days a week between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM, in private homes, assisted living communities, nursing homes, and medical centers.

As a Certified Art Therapist Volunteer, you will:

  • Provide therapeutic art interventions tailored to hospice patients
  • Support emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial needs through creative expression
  • Receive hospice-specific orientation and ongoing support
  • Have flexible scheduling options
  • Make a lasting and meaningful difference for patients and their families

Requirements (Certified Art Therapists Only)

To be considered, you must:

  • Provide proof of current art therapy credential
  • Complete a background screening and drug screening (covered by Catholic Hospice)
  • Provide a valid driver’s license or identification
  • Provide proof of car insurance (if applicable)
