Job Opportunity
Position: Cath Lab Tech
Shift: 7A - 5P (Rotating Weekends)
Location: Aurora, CO
Unit Information
The Cath Lab features a total of 8 Holding Bays and 4 Cath/EP Suites, supported by a dedicated staff of 16 professionals.
Staffing Information
  • Day Shift: 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Night Shift: Rotating on call
  • Patient Ratios: 3 staff members to 1 patient in the Cath Lab procedural area
Equipment Used
  • Philips Fluoro Systems
  • Mac Lab
  • CardioLab for EP
  • EMR: Meditech
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 6 months of current acute care hospital experience as a Cath Lab Tech
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • ARRT (R) required; RCIS or RCES is preferred
  • Willingness and ability to apply for registration as a Fluoroscopy Operator in Colorado with DORA before starting work
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ARRT (CI) or (CV) certification
  • Experience in scrubbing and monitoring procedures
  • Prior Meditech experience
Typical Procedures
  • Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
  • Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
  • Electrophysiology (EP) ablations
  • Pacing and Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD) placements
  • Cardioversion procedures
  • Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
  • Tilt Table Tests
  • Structural heart monitoring and Right Heart monitoring

The ideal candidates will possess a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Schedule & Call Requirements
The call schedule consists of a rotating system, including two weekends and 9-12 days of on-call duty within a 6-week period.
