Position Summary: The Senior Catering Sales Manager (Weddings & Social Market Segment) will lead the growth of our weddings and social events business, serving as the primary driver behind social events — from elegant weddings and milestone birthdays to high-end private and social gatherings. This role is responsible for developing catering revenue through a strategic and hands-on sales approach, actively prospecting, cultivating, and closing wedding and social event business while consistently achieving or exceeding revenue goals.

Base pay plus uncapped commission. Estimated total income for meeting to exceeding expectations would be from $90,000.00 to $125,000.00+. Primary Duties:

  • Consistently meet or exceed sales goals with a primary emphasis on weddings and social events
  • Proactively pursue new weddings and repeat social event business that aligns with venue sales guidelines and revenue objectives
  • Serve as the lead sales contact for weddings, proms, and other social functions, guiding clients from initial inquiry through contract execution
  • Build and maintain a strong networking presence within the local wedding, event planning, and hospitality community
  • Develop and nurture long-term, relationship-driven partnerships with couples, families, planners, vendors and repeat social clients
  • Communicate all event details clearly and timely to internal departments to ensure seamless execution, efficient staffing, and exceptional guest experiences on Banquet Event Orders
  • Provide personalized, on-site attention to wedding couples and social clients to ensure flawless events and total guest satisfaction
  • Cultivate relationships with preferred and local vendors including florists, rental companies, photographers, transportation providers, and entertainment partners
  • Collaborate on the development and refinement of wedding and social event menus, packages, and pricing
  • Conduct engaging and informative site tours tailored to couples and social hosts, showcasing the venue’s event spaces and customization options
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date catering and event details within TripleSeat computer system

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in social and wedding catering, hotel, or restaurant sales
  • Strong pricing and contact negotiation experience, including custom agreements, add ons, and upselling without discount dependency
  • Results and deadline driven
  • Must be conversant with culinary techniques and food creativity and be knowledgeable with banquet and audio-visual sets.
  • Strong brand stewardship, ensuring every interaction enforces the venue’s luxury positioning and market reputation
  • A creative and analytical mind with very strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced, changing deadlines, and balancing multiple projects
  • Able to work independently and multi-task while being productive and timely
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and holidays
