Position Overview

Ashley Mac's Kitchen is seeking an experienced Kitchen & Catering Associate to join our Production Team. This is a full-time position for individuals who have prior commercial kitchen experience and are committed to building a long-term career with our company.

This is not an entry-level role. We're looking for someone who is comfortable working in a high-volume kitchen, can follow recipes and production standards with precision, and understands the importance of consistency, food safety, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Our Production Team prepares the fresh, high-quality foods served in all Ashley Mac's locations and produces catering orders enjoyed throughout the Birmingham area. Every item leaving our kitchen reflects our brand, making this position critical to our success.

Schedule & Availability
  • Full-time position (40+ hours per week)
  • Must be available to work scheduled shifts between 6:00 AM and 6:30 PM, Monday through Saturday
  • Shift start and end times vary based on business needs
  • Saturday availability is required
  • This position requires open, full-time availability and is not suited for candidates with limited availability or scheduling restrictions
What You'll Do
  • Prepare and execute Drop & Go catering orders
  • Produce Ashley Mac's Market items in large batches while following standardized recipes
  • Portion, package, label, and pan products accurately
  • Maintain exceptional food quality and presentation standards
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and production-ready
  • Work efficiently alongside teammates to meet daily production goals
  • Assist with additional kitchen responsibilities as business needs require
  • Help create a positive, professional, family-oriented culture by living our MACS+ values every day

QualificationsRequired
  • Recent commercial kitchen or food production experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
  • Ability to read and follow recipes with consistency and accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 pounds
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
  • Full-time availability with flexibility to work Monday through Saturday as scheduled
