Job description

UFG is currently seeking a Lead General Adjuster - Field who will beย responsible forhandling Regional, and as needed, company-wide largepropertylosses.The adjusteris responsiblefordeterminingtheexposure,ย evaluatingย the loss andbringย about a timely resolution.In addition to providing exceptional customer service, this adjuster is responsible for controlling expenses and eliminating leakage associated with large property losses.This adjuster will serve as the CAT Coordinator for designated catastrophes.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 

**The ideal candidate will be located in Dallas, TX area**ย 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Handle large property losses within the region or elsewhere as needed in adherence with Claims Best Practices & Claims Gold Standard reserving.
  • CAT coordinator for designated catastrophe in compliance with UFGโ€™s Catastrophe Plan.
  • Responsible for the oversight of UFGโ€™s Catastrophe Plan and an annual review and update as needed.
  • Daily CAT duties include monitoring Catography reports for CAT activity.
  • Serve as a property training resource including assisting in new hire training, regional property training and as a general subject matter expert

Job Specifications:ย 

Education:

  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • AIC, SCLA or PCLA of the AEI series (If the adjuster does not have a designation, one will be completed within 3 years.)
  • The willingness and ability to be involved in continuing education relevant to the position/duties.
  • Meet the appropriate state licensing laws and requirements.

Experience:

  • 10 years of property claims experience

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Self-motivated individual with a good command of time management and ability to function with little supervision.
  • Strong technical, analytical and investigative skills.
  • Appropriate computer skills and estimating software skills.
  • Solid written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong soft and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work and function in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities.

Working Conditions:

  • This position will frequently require irregular hours to complete assigned claim, inclusive of evenings and weekends. It will require overnight travel, including assignment to catastrophes.
  • Ability to work independently and from a remote home office.
  • Travel estimated up to 50% of the time and on short notice.
  • Physical requirements of the job include working outside, lifting 40 lbs.

Pay Transparency Statement:

UFG Insurance is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position is $103,221 - $136,105 annually, which represents the typical range for new hires in this role. Individual pay within this range will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, internal equity, geography and market data.ย
