Job description

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced data governance professional who understands the strategy, processes and tools required to build and scale governance frameworks across enterprise customer data. This role is focused on strengthening the governance foundation for how data is defined, cataloged, monitored, documented and used, with key areas of specialization spanning data quality, metadata and catalog management, lineage, and consent and privacy requirements.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining, implementing and maturing data governance frameworks across key customer data domains and Data & Analytics platforms. This includes establishing standards, processes and controls for data quality, metadata, cataloging, lineage, stewardship and policy alignment, while also ensuring consent and privacy requirements are embedded into governance practices. The role supports both strategic governance priorities and practical execution through documentation, process design, backlog refinement, issue resolution and platform enablement.

Your responsibilities span global markets, partnering with local digital product, marketing, analytics, legal and technology teams to promote consistent and scalable governance practices across customer data. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of data governance frameworks, the ability to translate governance expectations into practical execution, and the confidence to guide stakeholders on data quality, catalog, lineage, consent and privacy standards across the enterprise.

This role will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Data & Analytics Strategy

  • Partner with legal, technology, marketing, digital product and analytics teams to align governance priorities and embed governance requirements into day-to-day execution
  • Support the development and adoption of data quality practices, including issue identification, ownership, remediation workflows and control alignment
  • Drive metadata and catalog management efforts by establishing data definitions, critical data elements, ownership expectations and documentation standards
  • Support lineage documentation and traceability across key customer data assets to improve transparency, impact assessment and change management
  • Ensure consent and privacy requirements are incorporated into governance frameworks, standards and platform-related processes
  • Translate governance requirements into clear business needs and partner with solution design and technology teams to support implementation across platforms and data flows
  • Own governance-related backlog priorities and contribute to roadmap execution for initiatives tied to data governance maturity and customer data management
  • Provide subject matter expertise, stakeholder guidance and change support for governance frameworks across the enterprise

What Do You Need To Bring?

  • Key Proficiencies include:
    • Strong experience with data governance frameworks and the processes required to support governed customer data across business and technology teams
    • Working knowledge of data quality concepts, governance controls, issue management and remediation practices
    • Experience supporting metadata management, data catalog adoption, business definitions and documentation standards
    • Understanding of lineage concepts and the importance of traceability across data sources, transformations and downstream usage
    • Strong acumen in consent and privacy, with the ability to incorporate regulatory and policy requirements into governance practices
    • Experience with OneTrust or similar privacy and consent management platforms to support governance, compliance and operational execution
    • Experience translating governance requirements into practical processes, operating models and platform standards
    • Confident working in a fast-moving environment, with a willingness to make quick decisions based on continuous prioritization and evolving business needs
